BSU Mission Statement


Welcome to the official website of the Black Student Union of West High! We are a purpose-driven organization that will strive to do ALL of the following:

  • Promote unity, academic excellence, and cultural awareness...
  • Become actively involved in the community and...
  • Enrich the high school experience for club and non-club members alike In order to be a part of this valuable experience, the members of the Black Student Union must fulfill certain guidelines. They must...

  • Commit to be in time for ALL meetings
  • Maintain a C or above in every class
  • Always be POSITIVE to all peers and teachers
  • Conduct themselves positively at BSU functions (on and off campus)
  • Attend as many BSU meetings as possible. The school year is filled with wonderful activities and the Black Student Union is committed to being a leading force on campus. Our level of participation is wrapped up in this motto: Work Hard, Play Hard! Let's live by it! Wolf Pack!
