This section is the basic knowledge that cadets need to know for promotions and leadership positions.
Cadet Oath
CAPR dictates that you MUST know this for promotions.
"I pledge that I will serve faithfully in the cadet program, and that I will attend meetings regularly, participate in unit activities, obey my officers, wear my uniform properly, and advance my education and training rapidly to prepare myself to be of service to my community, state and nation."
General Orders
1) To take charge of this post and all property in view.
2) To walk my post, keeping always on the alert and observing everything which takes place within sight or sound.
3) To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.
Cadets should know these 3 by their promotion to Amn.

4) To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guard house than my own.
5) To quit my post only when properly relieved.
6) To receive, obey, and pass on to the sentry who relieves me, all orders from the Commander, the Officer in Charge, and all officers and non-commissioned officers of the guard only.
Cadets should now know these 6 by their promotion to A1C.

7) To talk to no one except in the line of duty.
8) To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.
9) To call the commander in any case not covered by instructions
Cadets should know these 9 by their promotion to SrA.

10) To salute all officers, colors and standards not cased.
11) To be especially watchfull at night and during time for challenge, to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without propper authority.

Cadets should know ALL 12 by the time they are promoted to SSgt.
