Denver County GOP news

Donna Johnston appointed Denver County Republican Secretary

Denver County Republican officers recently announced that Donna M. Johnston has been appointed as Secretary of the Denver County Republican Party. The position will be expanded to include communications strategy and development, messaging and public relations. Johnston has resigned as House District 6 Captain to devote her full attention to her new role.

Geoffrey Blue, former Secretary, recently resigned...he and his wife are expecting their first baby at any moment.

“We appreciate all that Geoffrey has done for the Denver GOP and are pleased Donna has agreed to the job. Her years of experience in public relations and public policy, combined with her dedication and enthusiasm, will be great asset to us,” said Mary Smith, Denver County Republican Chairman.

Ryan Call, in-house legal council and political director for the Colorado GOP and Vice Chairman of the Denver GOP, concurred. “I look forward to working with Donna to help the party focus on ensuring victories for John McCain, Bob Schaffer and all of our other great Republican candidates.

“With the spotlight on Denver next month, we have a great opportunity to help people better understand the principles of the Republican Party that has made our nation so great and contrast them with the extreme “government knows best” policies proposed by our Democratic foes that will cripple our economy.”
