Application
We at the Grupo Folklorico
del Pueblo wish to provide a positive learning experience for as many people as
possible.
We hope that finances will not
become a barrier for students who wish to enrich themselves through our group.
Therefore,
we have designed a set of scholarships that are aimed
at helping dedicated students who wish to participate
with our
group, but who may not be able to afford the financial burden. In order to apply
you must:
- Fill out this scholarship application.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from someone
who knows you well but is not related to you, like
a teacher.
- Turn in the application to the GFDP Board. The
Board may call you for an interview as needed.
- Volunteer a minimum of 5 hours a month as
designated by the Administrative Director ie:
phone calls, clerical,
- maintenance, special projects etc. Performances are
required and not considered extra volunteers hours.
Criteria: We will take into
consideration all information included with this application, in addition to
attendance records,
and classroom performance, participation in
group fundraisers, performances and events. We are looking for students
and parents who are dedicated,
reliable, and who will make the most of their scholarship by maximizing their
time with
the group.
