This is our S&B Quilter, Vicki Jones' design, using Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
This quilt was made by S&B Quilters. It was quilted by Gale Smith.
Size is aproximately 88x88.
Thank You to Vicki & all the Guild members who helped make this beautiful quilt.

Each year our Guild selects a quilt design for the next year's raffle quilt. Guild members complete blocks for the quilt.Tickets are $1.00 each. The winner will be drawn at our December meeting that is the first Saturday which is our Holiday Party. Monies raised from the raffle ticket sales benefit our Guild's continuing Quilting education program for our Guild members.

****S&B EDUCATION****
In 2015 we will be continuing with these being Sew Days/Classes. Lida & Barb are continuing their Quilt Academy class. These days will be open to all who would like to come & sew & need help with a project.
These will be held at Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss. For more detail information - please check the web page - "S&B Education" on this website.
You may also contact us via email at - sbquilters1989@gmail.com for more information.
Check the website calendar in the left legend for the scheduled Fridays. We will not have a Sew Day in March, June, July, August, & December. These Sew Days are scheduled on the first Friday except for January & April and then it is scheduled on the 2nd Friday.
Class fee is $5.00, payable at sign up. If there is an additional fee it will be noted.
These will be held at Memorial Hall starting at 9:00am-3:30pm. Bring your lunch, snacks, drinks with your project, cutting, pressing, & sewing supplies that you will need. Please, also, bring your sewing machine manual.

These are the Friday dates that Sew Days are scheduled at this time:

 COMMUNITY PROJECTS
****CHARITY QUILTS****
Caring Quilts & Vet Quilts are being combined in 2014. Brenda McFarlane, Lida Letey, Sallie Waldron, & Margaret Osborn will be working together.
This is our small way of giving back to those in need in our local community.
Quilts are made throughout the year from fabric and supplies that are donated by the members and the community.
Caring Quilts are shared with various community organizations, individuals in need, & county services.
Vets Quilts in 2014 will be shared with various Veterans organizations & Veterans in our community. Contact Margaret or Sallie if you have names to add to the list.




Hotchkiss Elks Lodge #1807 donated $400 to S&B Quilters' Guild for our Veterans Quilt Project. Bob Kappas, District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler, presented Beverly Klemmer of S&B Quilters with the check. S&B Quilters provide quilts to disabled veterans within the North Fork Valley. Thank You to the Elks for their continued support for this project.

This sewing group meets the 1st Monday of each month at North Fork Baptist Church, Paonia at 10:00am.

These will be revealed at the July 11th Guild meeting, picnic in the park.

UFO Project
Nancy Foster is the 2015 Chairman.
UFO is defined as a project that has been started - with at least some fabric cut. Each January, everyone that wishes to participate fills out their UFO list including the date the project was originally started & a brief description. One copy is given to the UFO committee chairman & one is kept by the participate. During the year members bring their completed UFOs for Sew & Share. These will then be crossed off their list.
Prizes will be given at the December meeting for those completing the most items on their list.

 

2015 Ugly Fabric Challenge

This is VOLUNTARY. The Chairman numbers all bags received a & each participant is given a bag. This requires one yard of fabric. The completed project is returned in the numbered bag at the June Guild meeting. These creations are unveiled and returned to the original owner. You can create or add anything. The ONLY RULE - you must use the Ugly Fabric on the FRONT of what you create or it MUST be visible.
