*Leadline classes, the jog or trot is optional, dependent upon rider’s ability.

***Experienced Riders only. Horses must be in 1st or 2nd year of showing (this is 1st or 2nd show season). Unruly horses will be excused. TRAINERS ALLOWED IN GREEN HORSE CLASSES. A green horse is specifically a horse in its first or second year of showing, a change of discipline does NOT does not apply (i.e., a western horse with more than 2 years show experience now showing as an english horse, does not qualify this horse back to a green horse status).

C.R.A.A. FUN AND LEARN SHOW RULES

1. Show Clothes allowed are optional(see rule #13). If under 18 years of age, must show in a safety helmet (see rule #8).
2. No Pets.
3. No smoking in barns or arena.
4. Ages are as of December 1st of the previous year.
5. Green Horse: Must be in 1st or 2nd year of showing. Trainers allowed in ALL green horse classes. Horses can be shown in all green horse classes.
6. Trainer: A person who is remunerated for their services. Trainers can ride in all Green Horse Classes & All Open Classes.
7. Lead Line Riders: To be led by an Adult 18 or over. Must be under 8 years old as of December 1st of the previous year.
8. Safety Helmets: ALL Riders under 18 MUST wear SEI/ASTM safety helmets.
9. Horses may be shown in double bridle, Pelham, or snaffle with martingale. NO DRAW REINS, GERMAN MARTINGALES, OR TIE-DOWN ALLOWED.
10. English Classes: Will be split between hunt seat and saddle seat if entries warrant.
11. Classes will be split A, B, C; i.e., if one has 2 riders and only one horse – LET US KNOW WHEN CHECKING IN.
12. Attire: Jodhpurs, chaps, and boots. SAFETY HELMETS must be worn by riders under 18 years of age.
13. Diagonals: Lead Line Classes Walk/Trot Diagonals not to count.
14. Year-End Points: C.R.A.A. Members will receive double points for each Fun & Learn Show attended.
15. Membership: C.R.A.A. associate or affiliated membership is required. For double points on all shows in series, must be a C.R.A.A. member prior to the first C.R.A.A. Fun and Learn Show of the year.
16. Animal Abuse: Will NOT be tolerated, any one found abusing an animal will be asked to leave and forfeit all money and prizes.
17. Gate Holds: Gate Holds will be allowed ONLY if ring steward and/or secretary have been notified.
18. Cross-Entering: There is no cross-entering from walk/trot/jog to a walk/trot/canter or walk/jog/lope class, once an exhibitor canters or lopes at an C.R.A.A. Fun and Learn Show, that exhibitor can no longer participate in the walk/trot/jog divisions.
19. Added Classes: Barn holding show has the option of adding 1 or 2 classes that are not on the class list.

SERIES END AWARDS:

**All Age Groups will be combined in divisions for Series End Awards and is solely on the rider’s show record. Green Horse is the only divisional award awarded to the horse.
**Awards will be given out at the annual Connecticut River Arabian Association Year-End Award Banquet.
**Fun and Learn Show Series Year is shows held January through December of the current year.

S.M.E. Perpetual High-Point Rider Trophy Will be awarded at the C.R.A.A. Year End Awards Banquet to the rider earning the most points in the Fun and Learn Show Series.
