Infant Massage/ Bonding with your baby    What better way to bond with your baby and share your love! Benefits of Infant Massage: Form a natural bond with your baby! Massage reduces colic, teething pain, calms, and soothes your baby. Helps to build the Immune System. Helps reduce constipation and reflux. Massage breaks up chest congestion, and sinus congestion. Most importantly it relaxes your baby which helps them sleep better and longer.

Infant Massage is fun!  There is nothing better than to watch a new mommy or daddy massage their baby- you can always see the enjoyment reciprocated between parent and baby. It is amazing to watch your infant become excited when it comes time for their daily massage routine. And parents feel more confident in their new role as mommy or daddy....knowing that they are doing something themselves to enhance the health and well being of their own infant is incredible. Infant massage offers great quality time with your little one as well. Isn't it true that grown ups get stressed and always feel better after a massage. The same is true for babies, especially if they are not feeling well.

Interesting facts about Infant Massage
It is estimated that stress plays a big part in 60-90% of all illnesses. Case studies have proven that infant massage effectively reduces stress which in turn provides the balance of relaxation that infants need to stay healthy. A study conducted at the Touch Research Center in Florida found that massage resulted in significant increase of white blood cells, which fight infection and disease. Another study confirmed that following one month of 20 minute massages each night, asthmatic children had better airflow according to their peak airflow readings. Studies have also confirmed that some infants sleep for longer periods following regular massage, as well as longer periods of deep sleep.
  Don't forget Dad!
The biggest question that is always asked is: Can daddy be involved with the massage routine? The answer is YES! Often new dad's feel left out when it comes to caring for the new baby, especially when the mom is breast-feeding. This is a great way for dad's to bond with the baby, and get involved with the daily massage routine. The whole routine is actually fun, and can be incorporated into the bedtime schedule. The other big question is: Is Infant massage difficult to learn? No, it is not difficult, there are step by step instructions that are very easy to pick up, even after attending just one infant massage class. Another question is : If this is so easy can I teach myself? Indeed you can teach yourself, however there are very important techniques, tips and reminders that only a certified infant massage instructor can teach you.
