I'll post them online for all to benefit from.Make your own pinyata What you'll need: Double wide cereal box (from a wholesale store) Different color tissue paper (that I use to gift wrap with), cut into 2"x2" squares (colors to follow the party theme) 4-5 glue sticks 1 Paper plate with the theme picture on it (cut out the picture from the plate and paste on the outside of the box) 1) Undo the box by breaking it apart at all seams in order to make the box flat (this is to make the box weaker in order to break it apart.) Then paste the box back together with elmars glue or scotch tape (in order to keep the box in tact, but not strong enough to withstand the hitting) around and on the top side of the box (keep the bottom open in order to fill). 2) In order to hang your pinyata from something, punch two holds into the top of the box and sting through a piece of ribbon or string and tie. 3) Paste the cut-out picture (from theme plate) onto the box in the center. 4) Crinkle a 2"x2" paper around the tip of your index finger, dab the fold of the paper on your finger onto the glue stick to grab a glob of glue and then stick to the box, start by going around the cut-out picture, continue with whatever color pattern that suits you or your child until the box is covered. 5) Fill pinyata with goodies (besides candy I put in the items I use for their party favors such as stickers, bubbles, balls, erasers, etc). 6) Paste the box closed and make sure to carry with caution until you are ready to use it. 11/24/08 Thanksgiving Recipe Exchange Email me your favorite recipes the week of Thanksgiving and I'll post for all MOPS mom's to use.
