We are a family-owned Arabian Horse Farm established in 1987 located in the Connecticut River Valley. Bob and Deb are hands on owners, and as such, take pride knowing their horses and family are well taken care of. Our horses are kept on grass pastures 12 months of the year, only exception during show season when the show horses are stabled. As a USEF Arabian Horse Judge and an Arabian horse enthusiast since the age of 7, Deb received her first Half-Arabian at the age of 12. As an amateur trainer, Deb takes great pride in her horses accomplishments but even greater pride knowing that their daughter's, Cristina, riding accomplishments have been from a home base between mother and daughter.
We presently own 7 horses, 2 of which were bred, born, and raised on our farm. Our Western Pleasure horse, August Morn SFA, was shown for the first time under saddle in 2007 and won his junior horse class. He is more commonly known by his nickname, "Leo." In 2008, Cristina and Leo began their show career. 2008 Region 16 Championship show brought the pair a Reserve Champion in Horsemanship 17 & Under and a Top 3 in Showmanship. 2009, brought the pair to Hunter Pleasure Championships, Western Pleasure Champions, East Coast Reserve Champion Horsemanship, East Coast Western Pleasure Top 5, as well as winning several AHA Hunt Seat Equitation on the Flat medals.
Leo's full-brother, Gun Smoke Blu SFA, or "Blu" has been started under saddle and plans are for his show ring debut in 2010. Leo and Blu are full-brothers out of WN Ben Samir and Desert Aurora (see below for pics of both).
Ben was bred by Wayne Newton, and was Wayne's first bred National Champion. Ben had a very strong show career in halter, pleasure driving, and Informal Combination. Please note, Ben is the sire of Leo and Blu. It is our regret that Ben is no longer with us, but running free in green pastures.

Leo was bred & born at Sanford Farms, holding a very special part of our hearts. Leo & CJ's 2008 Region 16 Reserve Champion Horsemanship title was very exciting, as it was their 2nd horsemanship pattern, the first at 2008 Finger Lakes just a couple weeks before. 2009 Show Season brought the pair Western Pleasure Championships, Hunter Pleasure Championships and Hunt Seat Equitation on the Flat Medal wins.

. . . Spring and Cristina have been successful in Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Hunt Seat Equitation and Horsemanship. At the 2007 Region 16 Championship Show, the pair were Unanimous Western Horsemanship Champions and Top 4 Hunt Seat Equitation 14 - 17.
At the 2008 Region 16 Championship Show, Spring's first born, August Morn SFA, aka "Leo," were awarded Region 16 Reserve Champion Horsemanship 17 & Under. 2009 found Spring enjoying a year off from showing. Spring will be back in the show ring in 2010.

. . . Mink was Cristina's 2000 Christmas present. Together both have accomplished several wins in Showmanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Pleasure and then moving onto Country Pleasure and Saddleseat Equitation.
