LYREKA (Latigo - Oldenberg x OB Lyrical - Arabian)

LYREK was purchased Thanksgiving 2010, at least 300lbs underweight and very green broke.

2011 was also Lyrek's debut show year. By the end of the 2011 show season, Lyrek had garnished 65+ in several USEF/AHA/USDF Dressage Training Level Test 3's and finished her year as Region 16 SHIH Reserve Champion in Mares and Region 16 HA/AA Hunter Pleasure, both with Cristina.

WN BEN SAMIR

WN Ben Samir, aka "Ben," is the base of our breeding program at Sanford Farms. Ben not only was the 1987 U. S. National Informal Combination Champion, but has also garnished U. S. Nationals Top 10's in Pleasure Driving.

Ben was bred by Wayne Newton, and was Wayne's first bred National Champion. Ben had a very strong show career in halter, pleasure driving, and Informal Combination. Please note, Ben is the sire of Leo and Blu. It is our regret that Ben is no longer with us, but running free in green pastures.

Leo was bred & born at Sanford Farms, holding a very special part of our hearts. Leo & Cristina's 2008 Region 16 Reserve Champion Horsemanship title was very exciting, as it was their 2nd horsemanship pattern, the first at 2008 Finger Lakes just a couple weeks before. 2009 Show Season brought the pair Western Pleasure Championships, Hunter Pleasure Championships and Hunt Seat Equitation on the Flat Medal wins.

At the 2008 Region 16 Championship Show, Spring's first born, August Morn SFA, aka "Leo," were awarded Region 16 Reserve Champion Horsemanship 17 & Under. 2009 found Spring enjoying a year off from showing. Spring will be back in the show ring in 2010.
