Bios President: Ms. Patsy Provines, CDFM
Patricia E. (Patsy) Provines is the Deputy Comptroller, United States European Command, Stuttgart, Germany. She is an Army Level IV accredited Financial Analyst and Certified Defense Financial Manager with over 20 years experience in financial management, program management and analysis, budget, and manpower. Ms. Provines is experienced in all phases of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution. She provides advice on funding and manpower, including requirements integration into the Future Years Defense Program. Prior to assuming her present position, Ms. Provines served as Senior Program Analyst with Headquarters, Department of the Army, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, Program Analysis and Evaluation Directorate. She was responsible for developing, coordinating, and integrating the Army’s Manpower, Well-Being, Medical Readiness, and Healthcare requirements into the Army and OSD planning and programming documents.
Ms. Provines began her career with a commission in the Air Force in 1985 and served as a Special Investigative Officer with assignments in California. She transitioned to civilian service in 1989 and has held various manpower, budget, and financial management positions at installation, command, and headquarters levels. She has a BA in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Syracuse University.
Suzanne Kist is a budget analyst for the J4, J5, & J8 directorates of HQ USEUCOM. She is an Army Level II accredited Financial Analyst and has received her Certificate from USDA as a Certified Financial Manager. She is currently pursuing her CDFM and her Army Level III Accreditation. Ms. Kist is a 2007 graduate of the Army Comptroller (CP-11) Financial Management Analyst Intern Program. Prior to working for the government, Ms. Kist worked in the private sector as an Accountant for a prestigious corporation in southern California. She has a B.B.A. from Texas A&M and plans on pursuing her MBA/MAPA in the Defense Comptrollership Program at Syracuse University in 2011. VP for Membership: SGT Akinwumi Oluwole, CDFM
SGT Oluwole is the primary Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for Government Travel Charged Cards (GTCC) for Headquarters United States European Command (EUCOM), Stuttgart, Germany. He is a Finance Non Commissioned Officer and Certified Defense Financial Manager. SGT Oluwole is experienced in Travel Pay and currently provides Defense Travel System (DTS) assistance to EUCOM travelers and Organization Defense Travel Administrators (ODTAs). Before coming to EUCOM, SGT Oluwole served in the Travel Pay, Military Pay, and Reserve Pay sections of Charlie Detachment, 208th Finance Battalion. While attached to this Unit, SGT Oluwole deployed twice. He was in Iraq between 2003 and 2004 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and in Afghanistan from June 2007 to July 2008 in support of Operation Endurance Freedom.
SGT Oluwole is a student of the University of Phoenix where he currently pursues his Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) degree.
Prior to civil service Mr. Now worked in the private sector. He served as a financial analyst at many different levels and worked for both domestic and international companies. Kristian is CDFM certified, has a BBS in Finance, a MBA and is a graduate of the Department of the Army's Comptroller Intern Program. He is happy to serve as the Treasurer for the Stuttgart chapter of the ASMC.
