November 2007 Meet-n-Greet
The Meet-n-Greet was held at the Selman Library in Beltsville, Maryland. New members of the Scarlet Threads were introduced, the Pledge was led by Vice Queens, the Official Red Hat song was sung and The Scarlet Thread Kazoo Marching Band was in full swing! Later, while sipping tea, PMS (Planning Monthly Sign-ups) took place. A buffet style repast was followed by games and any announcements. After a full afternoon, we said farewell following our Scarlet Thread Chain.
December 2007 Christmas Party
Our Christmas Party was held on the 8th of December at the lovely home of Yvonne Johnson. Yvonne did a fabulous job of decorating with 3 Christmas Trees and red and purple decorations everywhere. The basement was a little cafe and the menu was a delight! We each brought our favorite homemade cookies to add to the menu. There was dancing, games and just a Red Hatter funfest! A good time was had by all!
2008 February Pre-Superbowl Party
The Scarlet Threads Pre-Superbowl Party was held at the home of Gloria Adams. A good time was had by all but the Purple Team won. Gloria Simmons was named MVP of the Bowl. Could it be being a "bowler" helped her with her toss across? We also celebrated the birthdays of our February Red Hatters & Pink Hatter with a lovely cake.
