Tea at the Colony South, October, 2008
The Scarlet Threads of Largo visited the Colony South Hotel and Conference Center for an Afternoon Tea in the Main Lobby. Scrumptious finger sandwiches, an array of teas and hot chocolate were overflowing. The pianist entertained us with a wide selection of music.
HATS! The Musical - November 1, 2008
The Scarlet Threads attended HATS! The Musical at the Spotlighter's Theatre in Baltimore, Md. It was a wonderful performance with the stage "in the round" meaning the audience sits on all four sides of the stage for optimum enjoyment of the show. There were Red Hatters on all four sides and I was delighted that my chapter was part of the fun. The show was fantastic with local area artists in performance and the hats they wore were fun!
HOLIDAY CELEBRATION - December 13, 2008
The Scarlet Threads of Largo had an intimate luncheon at the The Olde Town Inn located on Main Street in Upper Marlboro, MD. It is a rustic, quaint inn with loads of atmosphere. As always, the Ladies in the Red Hats were the center of attention as we sang songs and filled the quiet with loads of laughter.
Inaugral Celebration, January 2009
The Scarlet Threads of Largo came together and had our own celebration in honor of our new president, President Barack Obama, the nation's first African American President! We shared memories of election day and other historical moments of Black History.
