Our day began meeting at Queen Mother's house to drive to Glen Burnie to ride the Light Rail to Baltimore. While we were standing outside of Queen's house a lady drove by and said how marvelous we looked! We had a 3 car caravan of ladies in Red Hats and Purple outfits and cars passing us were waving and smiling and giving us the thumbs up! When we got to the Light Rail station, we met up with Monica and her guest and Lorraine of the Chatty Hatties, who suggested that we ride the Light Rail to Baltimore. People were very helpful assisting us to get our tickets. On the train, all 15 of us sat on one train and people were asking us questions about our group. We met a young man named Vince, who was very impressed to see us in all our finery. At one stop, a group of small boys started to get on the train and when they saw all of us in our Red Hats and Purple outfits, (yes Monica, you and your friend had on Pink Hats and Lavender outfitsLaughing) they backed out. We said, "Don't be afraid, we don't bite"!

Once we got to Baltiimore, we had our own little Red Hat parade! Horns honking, people shouting, waving and smiling as we walked 1 block to the theater. When we got to the theater, other patrons were smiling and coming up to us. The Scarlet Threads of Largo sure know how to make a presence!

Menopause the Musical was fantastic! 50's tunes adapted with lyrics about "The Change". Songs like The Fat Gram Song, Night Sweatin, Hot Flush, I'm Flashing, Sane and Normal Girls, Change, Change, Change and so many others that we can relate to (Pink Hatters- your "change" is coming!). The four women cast and band were phenomenal!

After the show, we returned to Glen Burnie by Light Rail and had a spectacular dinner at the Sunset Restaurant. Once again, everyone knew the Scarlet Threads of Largo and guests were in the HOUSE! We were seated in the party room and several people stopped by our table with good wishes and compliments. There was a family celebrating the birthday of 4 children and we joined in singing Happy Birthday. The father was so appreciative, he shared the birthday cake with us.
