Leader Dogs for the Blind Leader Dogs for the Blind is dedicated to enhancing the lives of blind and visually impaired individuals. Since 1939, they have been providing highly trained Leader Dogs. Today, their services include the Accelerated Mobility Program, technology training, and other personal education skills.


Lions Club Camp Merrick. Lions Camp Merrick provides week-long residential camping experiences for deaf, blind, and children with diabetes, ages 6 -16. Additionally the camp provides many shorter weekend retreats and day long sessions for related activities, including Scouting and 4-H. Lions Camp Merrick is located on 320 acres in southern Maryland, on the shores of the Potomac River, about 40 miles south of our nations capital, Washington DC.

Diabetes Education & Camping Association. Diabetes camps help people affected by diabetes lead healthier, happier, and more productive lives through good diabetes management. The Diabetes Education and Camping Association (DECA) provides leadership and education to better enable diabetes camps to fulfill this purpose.

Campaign Sight First II. Campaign SightFirst II is a coordinated, global fund-raising effort involving all 1.35 million Lions in more than 45,000 clubs to raise US$150 million for the SightFirst program. It is conducted by Lions Clubs International Foundation, the grant-making arm of the International Association of Lions Clubs.
