Eligibility and Rules REGISTRATION
ENTRY FEE Breakaway Entry Fee is $395.00 each tournament. ATTN: TEAM MOM's- We need to receive payment prior to the first game. Please pay with a single payment. ROSTERSEach team will be required to submit a roster with a maximum of 14 players including goalies. The roster must be submitted prior to the teams first game. Due to 2011 National Qualifiers, ALL BIRTH CERTIFICATES MUST BE PRESENTED AT TEAM REGISTRATION! LIABILITY RELEASE Each player and/or parent must sign the Liability Release Form. The Release must be submitted prior to the teams first game. AAU MEMBERSHIP Each player and coach must have the AAU membership in order to participate in Breakaway Championships. ALL AAU membership cards must be presented at team registration for verification.
TOURNAMENT PLAY Each Game will consist of 3 - 10 minute periods. Each Team must be prepared to play 30 minutes prior to their scheduled game time. DIVISONS 8U , 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U All players must be age eligible on January 1st. Girls will be permitted to play down one age division in all divisions except girls and womens. Ages are based on age as of January 1. Invitational Division Team participation in this division is by Tournament Director invitation only. There is no age restriction in this division. A player may play in this division and another age restriction division within the same tournament regardless of age group. Womens Divison There is no age restriction for this division. The tournament director has the discretion to limit certain age players based on the skill level presented at each tournament. Girls Division All players must be 14U or younger to play in this division. Age as of January 1. Iron Man This divison will be played with 4 skaters and a goalie. Each game will consist of one 12 min period for 8U/10U/12U/16U divisions and a 14 min period for adults and women divisions. No stoppage of play, no substitutes and no timeouts. Penalties will be applied according to USA Inline rules. Clock will stop only with a 1 goal difference at 1:00 min left in regulation. 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point will be awarded for a ties, 0 points will be awarded for a loss. The 2 teams with the most total points will play in a championship game. If there is a tie in the championship game, a sudden death overtime period of 5 min will take place. If there is still a tie a 4 man shootout will take place. Age limit will be determined by what age group the ironman is designed for. At tournament director discretion: Goalies may be rotated to each team if there is a shortage of goalies in an Ironman division. |
