What is a Handicap and How do I Get One?
Establishing a Handicap - You can post your 9 hole rounds! The system will match them up to make 18 hole rounds.You need to post the equivalent of 5 eighteen hole rounds before you will be issued a Handicap Index. After posting a least 5 rounds, you must go past a revision date. A revision date is the day the handicap indexes are calculated, usually twice a month. EWGA Golf Life Managment System.
TO POST SCORES FOR YOUR HANDICAP
After logging in, CLICK on "HANDICAP" in left-hand MENU list.Your Home Page will come up.
On right-hand side of next screen, Select ENTER SCORE in the red bar. To post scores here are instructions:
- 1. Enter date (Make sure you do this first)
- 2. Course - click on RED bar "Away Score: Course Finder"
- 3. Country - "United States"
- 4. State - "Florida"
- 5. Course - click on course you played
- 6. SELECT 9 or 18 score, Red-Green-tees, etc. and enter your SCORE
At this time, you cannot put in another person's score for them as an "attested" score. You can only enter a player's name as someone who attested YOUR score. It's good to have a certain percentage of your scores attested, so do this from time to time, by selecting YES, and then "Search Player Directory" for their name and checking the box next to their name.
