Why get involved? For me, being involved in my child's life goes beyond the life at home and extends to their life at school.
The PTC is not an option for me; it is a must. I am a part of the BSMS PTC not only to better improve the quality
of the current parent-teacher dynamic but to also further support the academic and social development of my

Our PTC is a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers and administrators who have a special interest in children, families

Parental involvement can take many forms. Some parents and families may have the time to get involved in many ways using their talents
and school. Our members meet together on a monthly basis to organize fund-raising activities, plan cultural events, openly share problems,

There are many different ways you can be involved at BSMS. Don't believe the folklore (or your kids!) that middle school
parents don't participate at school. You can participate without being seen by your children - and your child will be
more successful in school if she/he knows you're involved.
We're looking forward to a great school year, and your help as a parent is needed. Start thinking of how you might like to be
involved.
