WHAT COUNTRYSIDE KIWANIS IS ALL ABOUT

WHO WE ARE:

Countryside-Clearwater Kiwanis Club is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of service-minded men and women volunteers who respond to the unique needs of their communities. Our mission is to serve the children of our local communities and the world.

WHAT WE DO:

The Club meets weekly on Tuesday mornings at 7:30AM-8:30AM at Eve's Restaurant, 3150 Tampa Rd., Woodlands Square Oldsmar, where we have fun, have some club announcements relevant to our mission, hear informative speakers and enjoy good food. Several times yearly, we raise money through fundraisers to fund the many children's charities and projects the club supports.

WHY WE DO IT:

We are a group of concerned men and women who want to make a difference in the lives of today's kids and young people. Through Kiwanis membership, friendships are built, leadership skills are developed and business contacts are made. And, we help make our communities a better place to live, work and raise a family.

Membership

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY……BY JOINING THE KIWANIS CLUB OF COUNTRYSIDE-CLEARWATER.

Having an adult take an interest in you is one of the best things that ever happened to you as a child.

Don’t you agree that business people like you have something uniquely important to say to young people in these days of crime, drugs and violence?

Yes, YOU CAN make a difference in the lives of young folks.

COUNTRYSIDE KIWANIS CLUB can be the answer to concerns about the children.

Kiwanis is a group of concerned men and women who are helping the kids and supporting the communities in which they live and work. Kiwanis cares about the welfare, safety and future of the children. Losing children is not an option.

You’ll have fun. You’ll hear informative speakers. You’ll have good food at a good location. Meetings are punctual. Kiwanis interacts with kids. And, Kiwanis provides a good value for your investment of time and money.

The Kiwanis Club of Countryside-Clearwater covering Countryside, Clearwater, Oldsmar and surrounding area, invites you to come have breakfast to learn more about how Kiwanians and you can make a difference in the lives of young people.

For more information, please call Chuck Winscott at (727)773-4792 or Tom DuLaney at (727) 365-0200.

Countryside-Clearwater Kiwanis Club started in December, 1975, and was chartered by Kiwanis International in January, 1976.

Our club meets at Eve's Restaurant, 3150 Tampa Rd., Woodlands Square, Oldsmar.

SPONSORED YOUTH is a major component of Kiwanis International. Our club sponsors KEY CLUBS at East Lake, Countryside and Tarpon Springs High Schools and a Builders Club at Joseph Carwise Middle School

Visit the websites of our Builders Club:

  • Joseph Carwise Builders Club
  • We also provide SCHOLARSHIPS annually. We also have members who MENTOR students in our schools. As well as our Key Clubs, we hope to establish “Builders Clubs” and “K-Kids” Clubs in Middle and Elementary schools respectively.

We’d especially like to welcome new members who would enjoy working with any of our school clubs.

 What is Kiwanis

Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service-minded men and women who respond to the unique needs of their communities and address worldwide issues by “Serving the children of the World.”

Today the entire Kiwanis family has more than 600,000 members in more than 13,000 clubs. One of those exciting active clubs is the KIWANIS CLUB OF COUNTRYSIDE-CLEARWATER.

Kiwanis Clubs serve in 92 countries around the world and achieve what individuals cannot do alone.

Through Kiwanis membership, communities are improved, friendships are build, leadership skills are developed, and business contacts are made. More importantly, the lives of children around the world are changed for the better.

And, the children of countryside, Clearwater, Oldsmar and the surrounding area have a better future because Kiwanis men and women care about them.

Kiwanis is not for everyone. But, if you want to give something back (a little time, a little energy) to serving the children of your local community and around the world, Kiwanis is the vehicle to reach that goal. And, you’ll find it can be personally satisfying and rewarding.
