Winterguard Coming Soon!
We are very excited to announce that we will be having 2 winterguard groups this year!!! This is a huge step forward for our program in the development of talent. We are currently seeking new members for the JV team. No experience is necessary. Auditions will take place November 9th to determine membership of both teams. If you are interested please come try a class Monday evenings 4:30-7:30 in the North Campus Cafeteria
Parent meeting for winterguard will be held November 16th at 8:00pm in the NCC, the first payment of $200 is also due that evening.

FUNDRAISING
Winterguard shows are not cheap and therefore it takes quite a bit of money to design and create a show. I have estimated that the cost for this year's shows will be approximately $11,000.
Candy bar Sales are currently taking place. The team must collectively sell 83 boxes. We have almost achieved our goal of selling 83 boxes. This earns us approx. $2000.
In order to keep costs down, we need to raise approximately $4000 more as a team.
How we are going to do this? I am looking into a Sour Candy sale. I will also be providing girls with a sponsorship letter asking for donations for the team. Please ask your friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, local businesses and anyone else you can think of to make a donation to our art! The only way we can make money is if everyone works as a team and pulls their fairshare. Finally we will have a donation drive a Publix, tentatively scheduled for November 14th. We are looking to get multiple locations, but are having little success. We are currently booked at the MetroWest location on this date. Please mark it on your calendars.
FUNDRAISING IS TOTALLY UP TO YOU! THIS IS WHAT KEEPS OUR DUES SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN MOST OTHER PROGRAMS!!
All payments were due on Sept. 3rd. If you have not paid your bill in full please do so immediately. New members should have paid $305 and returning members $160.
Don't forget to take care of your band fair share dues as well. THANK YOU TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE PAID IN FULL.
WINTERGUARD FIRST PAYMENT OF $200 is due November 16th please start budgeting now. This payment needs to be made on time. The final payment will be due December 7th. This payment will depend on fundraising at this time the estimated payment is $225.

All members need a rifle. If you do not have one please purchase. This may not have been calculated into your dues if you are returning field or WG member.
Rifles can be purchased for $35. I
If you want to purchase your own sabre, the cost is approx. $200. These can be purchased through King Sabres online. They are the 36" sabre cost is $190-$200 see me if you have any questions. If you opt to purchase your own, I recommend having it engraved with your name.
You can also buy a practice sabre for less than $50.

100 Right and Left spins. Blade singles, doubles, triples. Hilt quads. Turn around under hilt quad.
Rifle master spins, triples, quads and fives!!! Please see folder for audition skils for each piece of equipment.
Tosses need to be perfected!!! Work on all skills on the left hand.
Financial Responsibility
Please make sure that you are keeping up to date with your bills. I do not like to be the bill collector and need your help to be proactive in this area. If you need an extension of due date, let me know and we can work it out. Band camp fees and fairshare are part of your dues. Girls will not be able to audition for winterguard if fall bills are not paid.
