Please take a moment and write your local legislator today! Let them know that you're tired of taking your life into your own hands everytime you drive through an intersection. Voice your concern and ask them, as your representative, to support the red light photo enforcement bill!

Don't know who your local legislators are? It's easy! Just visit the Florida House or Florida Senate websites. To find out who your elected officials are, visit the Elected Officials Information website. For a complete, printable Citizen Support Package, download this Adobe PDF file.

DONATIONS, VOLUNTEER, & MAIL LIST FORM

The STOP Red Light Running Coalition of Florida is dedicated to curbing one of Florida’s most dangerous traffic violators. Up for vote this coming year is the MARK WANDALL TRAFFIC SAFETY ACT, giving cities the right to safely enforce traffic laws by using red light cameras to photograph violators and issue citations to vehicle owners. The legislation also provides harsher penalties for repeat offenders. But...we need YOUR help!

The Coalition is a Florida-registered non-profit organization based out of Bradenton, Florida, and is operated by an all-volunteer staff. Even if you cannot support us financially, you can help by telling a friend about us! Financial contributions are put to good use, reaching out to and educating others about the perils of red light running.

If you would like to make a contribution, volunteer your time, or simply be added to our mailing list, please download this Donation & Volunteer Form and send to:

STOP Red Light Running Coalition of Florida
P.O. Box 321, Bradenton, FL 34206

Please make any checks payable to “Stop Red Light Running Coalition of Florida”. Thanks for becoming a Coalition sponsor and/or supporter!

If you're a motorist in Florida, chances are your life (or someone you know) has been affected by a red light runner.

Here's a few things you can do to help change this:

Help to spread awareness and education. Many drivers are unaware of the tragic human consequences of running a red light. Contact us to come to your next home owners association meeting, church group or school. It makes a difference when a victim or a family member shares their personal story. Literature and other handouts are available.

Sign up. Send us a note with your information (see home page). You will be contacted regarding proposed legislation, volunteer opportunities and events.

Are you or a family member a victim of a red light runner? Share your story with us. There are many (too many) families that have been affected by this issue.

Stay Informed. Legislation will be up for consideration during the 2007 legislative session. Contact your legislators and voice your support for automated enforcement!

Click here to visit the Manatee Chamber's blog - scroll down & listen to Melissa's interview on The Dr. Robyn Show where she discussed the impact red light running has on individuals.
