STA5 Tours and Meetings
STA5 Tour information:
STA5 is closed to the public except during scheduled tours.Hendry-Glades Audubon will lead the a tour to Stormwater Treatment Area 5 (STA-5) south of Clewiston on Saturday March 15 from 8:30 a.m.-noon. Meet at STA5 gate at 8:30 a.m. You may drive, walk, or bicycle on the STA5 levee. Suggested donation $5.00 per car. Groups and individuals welcome on all tours. Walkie talkies are suggested.

Send a e-mail or call Hendry-Glades Audubon member, Margaret England, at sta5birding@embarqmail.com with your name and contact information including an emergency cell number and the number in your party. You may also leave a message at(863) 674-0695 or (863) 517-0202. Tours are subject to cancellation in case of inclement weather. Maps from Naples and Hwy. 27 are in document files below.

Everyone is welcome to join the Feb. 14-16th tours. Your help with bird counts while birding in Hendry-Glades County during the Great Backyard Bird Count is not required in order to participate in the Feb. 14-15 tours, but will be greatly appreciated.
