ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES
January 10, 2007
- Call to Order:
Denis Futterlieb called the meeting to order at 1:58
PM at Lake Evert.
- Roll Call:
Present were Denis Futterlieb, Guy Vivell, Don
Green, Helmut Poelzing, Pierre d’aoust, Terry Morse, George Robinson, Ken
Bradfield, John Hancock, Chuck Cook, Ron Foster, and Larry Trespel. HLMSC, and
Fleet quorums were present.
- Approval of Minutes:
The January 13, 2006 minutes were approved.
- Officer Reports:
Commodore: Denis Futterlieb reported that
there are 18 frequency / members, with 14 of them active throughout the year,
some sailing two or more class boats. Approximately 5 are new members this year.
Soling Fleet Captain: Chuck Cook reported the fleet sailed throughout the
year with a good turnout.
Fairwind Fleet Captain: Guy Vivell reported he no longer owned a Fairwind
but the fleet was sailing frequently throughout the year.
- Nomination of Officers:
Denis Futterlieb was nominated for Commodore; Terry Morse, and Chuck Cook were nominated for Soling Fleet Captain, Helmut Poelzing was nominated for Fairwind Fleet Captain and Denis Futterlieb was nominated for Secretary. There were no other nominees.
- Election of Officers:
Denis Futterlieb was elected as Commodore
unanimously, Terry Morse was elected as Soling Fleet Caption, Helmut Polzing was
elected for Fairwind Fleet Captain unanimously, and Denis Futterlieb was elected
as Secretary unanimously.
- Old Business:
A. George Robinson was recognized for setting up and maintaining the HLMSC web site.
B. Denis Futterlieb reported that the sailing classes were successful,
and handed out information sheets on four different subjects.
C. Denis Futterlieb reported that the 2007 budget proposal was submitted
to the HLPOA on May 26, 2006 requesting funds for buoy replacements, CD player,
starting CD, picnic table, and racecourse display board.
- New Business:
A. New buoys were purchased. Chuck, Terry, Pierre, John, and Denis volunteered to set them out on Lake Evert. Denis Futterlieb will coordinate the day, and time.
B. Members voted that Fleet races will be held on Wednesdays for Soling,
and Fairwind fleets, and Fridays will be for Open class, and fleet sailing, or
racing.
C. Members voted for an annual regatta to be held some time in March, and
be restricted to HLMSC members only. A fee will be charged to cover expenses.
D. Members were asked to consider proposals for the 2008 budget.
E. George Robinson Volunteered to burn a CD with one-minute starts.
- Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 PM
