COMMUNITY SERVICE

RCS Food Bank: The first Friday of each month is designated as Food Bank Day. Ellen Jensen will take non-perishable foods and paper goods to the Food Pantry. Items needed are baby food, paper goods, canned meats, fruits and veggies; and, of course, peanut butter and jelly.

YOUNG CHILDREN, PRIORITY #1

The Learning Center at Palms of Largo: Ben Hogan, project Chair, and Alex Ramsay read to pre-schoolers each Wednesday morning at 9:30am.

OPERATION PAR: Operation PAR (substance abuse treatment facility) has urgent need for newborn baby disposable diapers and clothing. Also, if you know of anyone who can donate new or used strollers, please let Gail know: 545-7564.

HUMAN AND SPIRITUAL VALUES

The Childrens' Center at Sabal Palms: We are now only $130 short of completing our goal of redressing the windows in the activity room of this children's trauma center. It is not too late to help. Let's make it happen!

YOUTH SERVICES

READING TO THE DOGS: Every fourth Saturday at Largo Public Library. See Ellen Jensen, Sub-Chair.

SUNCOAST MEDICAL EXPLORERS

YOUTH GROUP: meets at Suncoast Hospital every other week. See John Watkins or Linda Bullerman for meeting dates.

FUNDRAISING

PAWFEST 2008. SUCCESS! We raised over $5,000 in net profit!!! May 21, 2008 Division Council Meeting, hosted by Tarpon Springs at Cypress Run Country Club. Social 6 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm. Cost: $10.00.

May 22, 2008 Kiwanis Night at the Playhouse. Rumors by Neil Simon will be presented at the Francis Wilson Playhouse. Gala preview party w/food, fun, friends, drawing, door prizes starts at 7 pm and curtain goes up at 8 pm. Please sign up to help.

May 22, 2008 Francis Wilson Playhouse Kiwanis Night, 7pm at 302 Seminole St.
