In SRA, dissociation is acomplished by manipulation, programming, Shock treatment, hypnotism and physical pain and is more likely to be done at birth and even during pregnancy which are the early developmental years. The abuse continues well after the developmental years or until the survivor escapes or leaves.

Demons are also used to achieve these goals. The perpetrators don't want anyone to be able to help the victims if they ever do try to get help. Some survivors are programed with screen memories ( false memories ) to keep from finding the truth and getting the healing and deliverance they need. And where there is a screen memory, there is usually a true hidden memory.

There is always someone (the core personality/part) in the system that knows all the memories.

The coven may program the victim to kill themselves if they try to leave the coven. They can also program the victim with triggers, like a certain word or phrase, so the survivor can be triggered with a phone call or a letter. When this is done, it can trigger a predetermined personality to automatically go to a predestined place. They may never know what's going on until they get there. They can use this in case someone does trys to leave the coven. The person still has a choice to say no to these things.

Other ways of programming can be: They may be beaten while having sex to make them think pain is pleasure or beaten while they are forced to read the Bible.
