We will be having a Centerpiece Contest
(1) All centerpieces must be handcrafted - not store bought.

(3) Each chapter should put their name on bottom of centerpiece (not visible)
(4) Only one entry per chapter.
(5) Centerpieces will be collected at the door at Check-In.

December 12, 2008 - Bus Trip to Chalet Suzanne and Pinewood Estates (Bok Towers). Sponsored by the Lucie Goosies. Tour of the 1930s Pinewood Mansion with its Holiday Decorations and stroll through the gardens.

Central Florida designers and volunteers will bring your favorite childhood stories to life including "Twas the Night Before Christmas," "The Nutcracker," "Cinderella" and more. January 24, 2009 - Red Hat Chinese New Year Party sponsored by Pampered Pack of Peacocks from Palm City. Start looking for your Chinese Costume for the costume contest! If you do not care to wear a Chinese costume, the Red Hat Regalia (purple outfit and red Hat) is necessary. This event will be held at High Tide Beach Grill, 9800 South Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach (across from the entrance to Nettles Island) Cost: $23.00 Cash Bar available. Limited to 100. Thursday, February 26, 2009 - Strawberry Festival. $89.00 includes motor coach, driver tips, snacks, entry ticket and dinner. Departure time: 7:20am Return time: 11:00pm. Dinner will be at Fred's Market in Plant City (Buffet). Checks should be made out to Travel Plus. More detailed information will be available at a later date. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Only 44 seats available.

Come enjoy the rhythm as their empty stage comes to life with your favorite country music entertainers who perform each day at 3:30pm and 7:30pm. There are about 4000 free seats for all shows included as a part of your gate admission available on a first-come, first served basis.

King Strawberry is the highlight of the Florida Strawberry Festival. Many strawberry delights such as strawberry shortcake, strawberry milkshakes, strawberry sundaes, strawberry cobbler, strawberry ice cream, and just plain strawberries are available for purchase by the flat or quart so that patrons may extend the pleasure at home. Strawberry plants are also available for your own production at home.

Ken Brady of the CASINOS - "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye" out of Cincinnati, Ohio, sings great hits "Daddy's Home', Life is But a Dream, "Stand by Me, and "I Believe".

You won't want to miss the great sounds of our day in this stroll down memory lane.

A beautiful basket of vendor donated items will be raffled with proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure Florida Suncoast. Last year we presented a check in the amount of $1,400 for research. It would be wonderful if we could top that this year. The basket is huge and full of wonderful Hatter items.

ATTENTION PLEASE
The dining room is not accessible until 11:45 - firm. Staff is setting up, program is being tested, etc. and you will not be allowed access. In the past, those who have come very early and completed their shopping, find it difficult to find seating until the dining room opens. Why not plan to arrive on time instead of early. We will be there for you and you will not experience a lag time. Help us to help you enjoy every minute. The vendors will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Jay Byorne Becker, a Fine Art Photographer from Titusville, Florida will photograph any Gala attendee - QM, VQM, Red Hatter and/or chapters. His rates are reasonable at $12 for an 8 x 10, or two 5 x 7, or three 4 x 6, or eight wallet size, or twenty-four specialty (business card). His rate includes free sitting and postage. Please note that he will accept cash and checks. Jay is donating five door prizes (8 x 10s of an individual or group/chapter) to be redeemed at the Gala. How nice is that? These door prizes will be drawn early in the program to allow the winners time for their sitting.
