Notice of Race

2009 RC Laser North American Championship

Hosted by Oxford RC Laser Fleet and the Tred Avon YC

Oxford, MD

1) LOCATION AND DATES: Racing will be on the Tred Avon River off the outer docks of the Tred Avon Yacht Club on October  23-25, 2009. Practice day is October 23^rd.

2) RULES: The series will be governed by the 2009 Racing Rules of Sailing, as amended by the United States Sailing prescriptions and incorporating Appendix E-Radio Controlled Boat Racing Rules, the current RC Laser Class Rules and further sailing instructions as mandated by the PRO during the course of the sailing day by posting and announcing the changes.

3) ENTRIES: Due by October 10, 2009. Entry forms will be available in the summer of 2009. Registration preference will be given to out of town skippers and order of receipt of entry.

4) HOUSING: As is our custom, local fleet members have made every effort to host visiting skippers for those who wish

No races will be started after 4pm

8:00am                                        Continental Breakfast and Practice racing

9:00am                                        Racing begins

Noon                                          cold Cut Buffet Lunch w/ hot soup(weather pending); Cash Bar

Final Race of the day starts no later than 3pm

Awards Presentation 30 min after conclusion of last race

6) FORMAT: We expect to host 30 boats, so register early, and we will use the odd-even format for starts to attempt to limit the number of boats in each race to no more than 15.
