9th Annual Marco Island RC Laser Mid-Winter Championship Regatta

March 2 - 4, 2012

Sponsors:        Marco Island Model Yacht Club (MIMYC) in conjunction with the City of Marco Island Department of Parks and Recreation.  The regatta is organized under the overall authority of the MIMYC and the RC Laser Class Association-North America (RCLNA).

Rules:              The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing for 2009-2012, as amended by the United States Sailing prescriptions and incorporating Appendix E-Radio Controlled Boat Racing Rules, the current RC Laser Class Rules and further sailing instructions as mandated by the Principal Race Officer (PRO) during the course of the sailing day by posting and announcing the changes.

 Entries:           Entry fee $100. due by February 17, 2012.  Registration will be limited to 40 boats in order of entry receipt.  Entry forms will be available in December at www.rclaserna.com

 Format:           Equal Opportunity Racing System (Promotion/Relegation).  The fleet will be evenly divided into three equal in ability fleets and all participants will sail two Seeding Races on Friday starting at  2:00 PM.  Using the total score for both seeding races, the fleet will be divided into “A”, “B” and “C” fleets for Saturday and Sunday races using the Promotion/Relegation scoring system.  Our PRO will be David Brawner, the President of AMYA.
