Club members will be happy to hand you their transmitter so you can get the feel for what it is like to sail remotely. Even veteran big-boat skippers are surprised by the differences.

How fast our time seems to pass, it feels for most of us, Snow Birds, that we just got here and now it’s time to go back north. We had an excellent sailing schedule this year. We raced 76 counted races and 21 awards were won. Many thanks go to Jack Wubbe our Race Chairman this past year. We want to thank all of our members that RD’d our counted races also the help from our Club officers.

I’m looking forward to repeating another great sailing season in 2010. We have a new NMYC Race Chairman Dick Hedderick, for next season. He will be asking members again to help with the counted races.

Many of us will be sailing this summer here and also in our residence's up north.
