Monthly meeting minutes of April 7, 2008

Commodore Bud Cassidy called the Annual Meeting to order. 21 members were present.

Prior Meeting's Minutes

Motion was made and seconded to waive the reading of the prior meeting's minutes as they appear in our Web site.

Treasurer's Report

Dick Hedderick, states Club finances are in excellent shape. No Expenses since the last monthly report.

A detailed summary of expenses for the fiscal year was presented. For the year, $945.00 of revenue was received and expenses are projected to be $1048.30. End of Year balance is projected to be $980.84.

Current membership is 59.

PARKING/SECURITY

John McGee reported that in the future Islandwalk will be instituting a new security procedure. NMYC members using the site will have to be on a security list. Bud Cassidy has provided the list. If you have any trouble entering the site call John at 254-9241.

Bud Cassidy reported that some small parking issues have been reported at VillageWalk. To avoid any problems, NMYC members have been requested not to park in ANY spots along the area where “10 minute” parking signs exist. Unloading is permitted, but please do not leave your vehicle in that area. We do not want to generate any ill-will at this spectacular site.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Frequency Coordinator, John Fahr, reported no frequency problems as most members are now using the 2.4 ghz auto frequency systems. However, for those still using the old crystal systems, the frequency board and clothespins will still be available.

Race Chairman, Ole Kistler, reported Ole Kistler reported that all results for counted races are now in and posted on the Club’s website.

Upcoming Large Regattas to be hosted by NMYC:

Seawinds Regatta: 5/6 April

EC-12 Regatta: 26/27 April

Web Master, Dave Harrington, . Reported, that non members may place ads in our Web Site for $15.00 per classified ad. The Web Site is continually being update.

Jack Ratier reported that the nominating committee offers the following slate of officers for the new year:

Asst. R/D: Chuck Ryntz No other nominations were offered. The Secretary took the vote. All members present voted YES to the offered nominations.

ADJOURNMENT.Without further business, Commodore Bud Cassidy called for a motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 1:10 P.M.
