This is what I confirmed today. (2-7-12)

1. Unload by curb, not blocking the ramp.

2. Do not set boats on sidewalk. Set them in the grass.

3. Park your car toward the back of the lot. The closer to the main gate, the better.
This leaves the spaces closest to the Tennis Courts for the Tennis and Boche Ball players.

4. DO NOT USE THE 10 MINUTE SPOTS. THEY ARE FOR VILLAGE WALK RESIDENTS TO GET
THEIR MAIL 24/7 AND THEY DO!!

5. When leaving, set your boat on the grass NEXT TO the sidewalk, get your car, park it by the curb
not blocking the ramp, load your equipment and have a nice day.

Village Walk is happy to have our activity here but we must follow the above if we want to remain
welcome.

There is plenty of parking, but remember Village Walk residents have preference. It's their Tennis Courts, Boche Ball Courts and Post Office and any other facility available to them at the town center.

I also encourage you to take time occasionally and have lunch at the restaurant. You have to eat somewhere sometime. This is a way to say "Thanx"!!
See you on the water. Bob Randall, Village Walk Liaison

All sailors and RDs should be pro-active in helping to assure that the parking regulations are abided by.

This includes passing the word to anyone who may not yet have received the message,
and also helping those sailors who may need assistance in unloading and reloading their boats.
This should not only speed up the process, but also will greatly assist our less agile sailors.
Randy Williams, Race Director.

January 2012
Commodore Chuck Ryntz called the monthly meeting to order at 11:47 am and 17 members were in attendance.

Prior Meeting's Minutes
No mention of the minutes was made so it is to be assumed that the prior meetings minutes , as displayed on the club's website, are to be accepted.

Commodore Chuck Ryntz introduced the executive committee and some new members.

Secretary/Treasurer Jerry Seiff said that the club continues to be in good financial condition with enough funds in the bank to cover all expected expenses. He mentioned that although we had a large membership at this time it would be best not to record the number of members since there is the expectation that several members will soon be dropped due to nonpayment of dues. Jerry also discussed the club's liability insurance policy with emphasis on the increase in premium cost.

Committee Reports
Randy Williams said he had extra schedules of all the races and handed them out to those who didn't receive one by email. Race Directors were assigned for each fleet and Randy said all fleets were covered. The Race Director of each fleet is to pick his/her assistant. Randy mentioned all the fleet captains' names.

At this time there was a discussion regarding members who haven't paid their dues. Some members asked for names of delinquent members so that they could call these members and try and get results.

There was no Old Business

New Business

There was general praise for the adaptation of "The Corinthian Spirit" and that all sailors should abide by it when sailing their boats. The Commodore praised the idea and asked all race directors to enforce it. Frankie Novak reinforced this feeling and said that Fleet Captains should make a point to address this issue. According to Frankie, if a sailor doesn't abide to this spirit he/she should be told he/she can't sail. Vice Commodore Laura Novak said that in her opinion, Race directors should help enforce the rules. Bud Cassidy and Commodore Cryntz said that it's just best for a person who fouls to just acknowledge the violation, do a 360 degree turn and continue on. There was a brief discussion about how to handle violators of the rules with a suggestion by one member that we should hold a class on rules, in general. Wayne Starr said we are having such a class on January 21st.

Laura Novak made a motion that we should adopt the Corinthian Code, It was seconded by Dave Grozier and unanimously passed.

Dave Grozier wanted to know if we had enough "Starting Boxes" and it was determined that we did.

Commodore Ryntz said that he would bring enough clipboards at which time Randy Williams reminded us to use ball point pens on score sheets so that they'll scan okay.

The next meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, February 25th.

Adjournment was at 12:21 pm.
