Naval Officers Spouses Association - Mayport

WELCOME

NOSA is here for three main reasons:
1. To provide a social atmosphere of communication for officers' spouses attached to Mayport commands and eligible individuals in the area.
2. To coordinate fundraising, civic, social and cultural activities in which the members may be interested.
3. To raise money for local charities.

Interested in joining NOSA?
Who belongs to NOSA? Thought only CO/XO spouses were members?
The spouse of any military officer, active duty or retired, and any branch of service or foreign military is invited to join NOSA of Mayport.
Are you new to the area or moving here soon? Are the kids getting older and you have a little free time? Do you work and feel disconnected from other spouses? NOSA is a great way to get to know some terrific people.

Annual membership dues are $25.

NOSA's End of Year Celebration

Join us on June 5th! If you are a current member or just interested in checking out NOSA, come spend a lovely evening with us as we celebrate our successful 2010-11 year. We will be saying goodbye to some very special friends and hello to new ones! NOSA will meet at Tuesday, June 5 at 7 pm at the Royal Palm Village Wine & Tapas Bar, 296 Royal Palms Drive, in Atlantic Beach. Please RSVP through our Facebook page. See you there!

GIVING BACK
NOSA was established as a charitable organization. It was the intent of our founding spouses to give back to the organization that brought us all together, the military. With history in mind, NOSA started a monthly "giving back" donation.

Continuing with our 'giving back' efforts, for the month of May, we are supporting "Dignity U Wear". This charitable organization is devoted to providing new clothing to people in need. We will be collecting packages of new underclothes until May 20. Please help support this great cause!

BOOKS 4 KIDS UPDATE!

A great big thank you to everyone who supported NOSA's ongoing effort to collect used books for our military children. Our book drive raised over 2250 books that will be distributed through the pediatrics clinic. With the success of this drive, NOSA will also be expanding the Books 4 Kids program with a new distribution site at the Mayport USO.

Are you interested in helping Books 4 Kids reach even more children? NOSA accepts books year-round. We will gladly pick up any donations.

What should you collect? We need books for infants through 8th grade, in gently used condition. New books are also welcome! Please, no coloring books, textbooks or magazines.
