40th Reunion comments from Classmates Dear Committee Members and Classmates,Please accept my gratitude for coming to this 40th reunion at the Yankee Clipper. I have been fortunate to have visited all our past reunions and must say this was the Greatest because of so many participating. I enjoyed all the conversations with so many of you.The Yankee Trader, buffet, dancing and Rick Shaw were the icing on the cake. What a vast array of professions we have from our 1967 class and so many living in so many places. I am very proud and happy to have been part of this class. My best to everyone and this do this again! Sincerely, Paul L.Lucas, Plucas1974@AOL.Com
Jane:Thank you for the update, just reading about it and reviewing the directory brought back a lot of memories. I am very happy you folks had a great / memorable time. Thanks again for all your efforts to make it a success and for the rekindled memories you have brought to some many lives...Blessings, Tom Phillips
I thought about you all over the weekend..I cannot wait to see pictures! Thanks for all your hard work..I am looking forward to the next reunion...I don't think we'll still be having grand babies then! Nancy (Humphries) Thomas
Jane I can't thank you and your co-conspirators enough. You thought of everything and then some. The reunion was a wonderful gift to the rest of us. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to talk with so many old friends, and appreciate having contact information and life updates for so many people that I had lost touch with and wondered about and can now reconnect with. The high school picture name tags and Rick Shaw were especially brilliant ideas. I have enjoyed previous reunions, but this one was especially FUN! (Next time I'll force Art to come, too.) Thanks again for an incredible weekend!
Betty (Segal)Bardige
Thanks dont begin to say enough but you and your team gave us all an incredible gift. The weekend was far better than I could ever have imagined and "its all your fault!!" Our hats are off to you for your graciousness, attention to detail, spirit and love. Those who didn't come sure missed something really special. Eddie thoroughly enjoyed himself, too. I hope you stay on cloud nine a long, long time!! Meanwhile, back on earth, it sure was hard to focus yesterday and today, too!! Stay well, all. And thank you so much, again and again. Anne (Freedman) Fisher
What a wonderful weekend, it brought back so many good memories. You all did such a fine job in all the arrangements and it was fantastic all the people that attended. We really enjoyed Rick Shaw, once again a visit to places I haven't thought of in a long time. Congrats to everyone involved and all that attended for a "superb" affair. The directory is amazing, it will sure make it easier to keep in touch. Thanks again. Judy (Clancy)& Jay Bridgman
To: Jane and Shellie and Cindy and Jim and Mike (and whoever else was even tangentially involved in the planning and execution of the reunion weekend):There is only one word to describe the 40th Reunion ---- FAB-U-LOUS!!! Thank you all for all your hard work. It really paid off and you can now sit back, pat yourselves on the back for a job exceedingly well done and rest up for a week or two before you start planning the 45th!!!! I know I had the most wonderful time and I think everyone else did, too. It was so much fun to catch up with olds friends and get to know better some of "the kids" that I didn't know all that well back in school. "Better late than never" has never been more appropriate. Beth Kravetz
Dear Jane: Kudos to you and the entire reunion committee for making our 40th reunion so successful. So much time and effort was put forth, and it was very obvious. It was so wonderful to be able to reconnect with "old" friends. Thank you again for making this such a wonderful event! Carolyn Nasher MacIvor
"You, Shelly and the entire committee did such an awesome and fantastic job of putting everything together. Thanks so much for everything. I had a great time." Ken Herring

A flawless meshing of past and present! Such great work, such great heart - you reminded us all of what was so special about that time and place, and what is so special about all the people in our class. (The girls sure can dance, and the guys sure can sing!) Thanks so much. Debbie Elliott and Justin, who thought it was pretty cool.
Oh what a weekend!!!Thank you Rick and Jay for the ice breaker Open House. It was so nice to start the event in such a relaxing casual atmosphere. Thank you to the entire committee. Jane, your never ending efforts of finding people paid off and Shelly, the organization was not to be topped!! Cindy, Chuck, Mike, Becky, John, Bruce, and Paula, thank you all for everything that you did to make this such a special time. Who would have known that 40 years had gone by??? It was so nice seeing and talking to everyone, I am wish that it could have lasted longer!! Ok Class of 67, everyone stay safe and healthy and see you at the 45th. (It's just around the corner)
PS if anyone wants a tour of the elementary school, call me!

Jane, Edd & I want to thank the entire Reunion committee for an absolutely wonderful weekend. It was so nice to see everyone & we all had so much fun together. It is hard to believe it has been 40 years. I am so glad we had so many classmates come this year. It was especially exciting to see Rick Shaw, it brought back many memories. Thanks again for all the great work. Lynne Crudele Garbrick
What a wonderful reunion...I feel sorry for folks who mistakenly think, "I don't care about high school...etc...." because it was clearly an important time in our lives whether we knew it or not!! THANK YOU to Shelley Bass Martin for her
hard work in planning and coordinating, even up to the last minute, when the weather threat meant a slight change in plans for Friday night. Shelley, you did a GREAT job and I know you felt the rewards of seeing everyone having such a good time together thanks to your efforts. THANK YOU to Jane Polangin Kopp for her tireless work in locating as many folks as humanly possible...it made the difference! Also, thanks to Jane, we have a wonderful reunion web site now and up to date contact information with bios to keep us in touch after the reunion.
Many others played a part, too but these two gals were THE BEST leaders we could ask for!! I'm honored to be included with such a talented, successful, group of Nova classmates even though my father's transfer mid-junior year kept me from actually graduating from Nova. It's no wonder I want to be a part of this group...YOU'RE GREAT!! Love from Quincy, Florida (near Tallahassee)......Becky Fogg Reep
Was sad to leave Sunday morning. I arrived at the Wreck Bar at 9AM the buffet had already started. Alums did NOT leave early either. Same for all the other events. For those of use who attended our first reunion, it's impossible to relate to what we missed in previous reunions that may have been special about Nova. Or was it the 40th Reunion itself or both? In any case, tremendous, never forget event! John Inks
Hi to All! For all who could attend the Reunion, it was great seeing you! For those who couldn't, I'm looking forward to seeing you! At times the weekend was overwhelming emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. It took my soul to places I haven't been for along time, wonderful yet sometimes painful. As I told one classmate for me it was "the best of times and the worst of times"! sound familiar?? "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens. It was definitely worth the time spent! Shelley and Jane, you did an incredible job! My gratitude can't be expressed by words. Thanks for all your efforts and hard work. Kudos, to you both!!! and love.... Cindi Ratliff owen
I just want to add my thanks also to a job well done. I couldn't have asked for a better reunion. Jane and Shelly you are fantastic party planners. Rick, nice house party too. That made all the difference. I had a great time and memories were abundant. Looking forward to the next event, which I guess will be our 60th!
