Jackson Nomex retires after 9 years. Jackson was born into the fire department at Station #33. Jackson served faithfully assisting in pub-eds, responding to calls on Engine 33 and alerting us to walk-in medicals.

Firefighter of the Year 2002
Tuesday, December 10th 2002, Wellington, Fl- Lieutenant Bruce Young was honored as Firefighter of the Year from the Village of Wellington Town Council Tuesday evening.
Lt. Young is a 18 year veteran of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and is currently assigned to Station No. 27 located in Wellington. He is actively involved with firefighter recruit training and has spent countless hours of his personal time going to schools throughout Wellington and educating young students on fire safety.
Recently, Lt. Young’s efforts paid off when 7 year old Thomas Coates of Wellington saved his family by getting them out of their house when an electrical fire started. This was just days after Lt.Young visited Thomas’s second grade class at Binks Forest Elementary School and taught "Exit Drills in the Home".
