Presidents Report 2010-2011
Quota International of St. Augustine has been delivering possiblilties in North Florida with Quota by offering services mostly to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The deaf are near and dear to our hearts, as 4 of our members have their own deaf children.

We started off our year as we normally do with our "Annual Car Wash", it was our most profitable fundraiser. We get a great turnout from the community and the deaf teens are always their to help out.

Then we head straight into our "We Remember" project. This is a bake sale that we do in rememberance of our service men. Our community partner offers their services for this event.

This year we picked up a great asset, in our business partner, Prosperity Bank, not only in monetary value but with GREAT new members.

Now comes the holidays, every year we work together with FSDB through the holidays. At Thanksgiving we gave four dinners to individual families in need. Christmas always brings in a happy happy feeling. We worked with FSDB elementary school age children to send fond wishes to our wounded veterans in "Mail for Heroes". The children do a great job with addressing, signing and sending pictures to our heroes. For the first time this year, with the idea from one of our new members, we joined with St. John's county and becamea member of the Empty Stocking Fund.

Springtime brought a great idea for a yard sale, after tons of planning and no one watching the weather channel, the yard sale became a flood. But on a good note all left over items from the yard sale, we donated to St. Vincent DePaul. We also did a "Go Green" project which involved collection of recycled cell phones, cameras and other electronics

As a brand new club, I am very proud to say we are going to present 2- $500,00 scholarships to graduating seniors from FSDB this year.

That is how Quota International of St. Augustine has delivered possibilities with Quota.

  New Club Officers
Governor Cindy Hurd installed our club's new Officers and Board of Directors at our Annual Business meeting in May.

Lisa Licata will serve another term as Club President. She will be joined by Yvonne Swartz as Vice Pres., Jenny Harvey as Secretary and Tracey Watson as Treasurer. Jane Crawford, Dena Hackett and Cheryl-Ann Harter will serve as Directors.

We look forward to another exciting year serving our community's needs.

Budget and Event planning will be held in June after our Conference is over.
