East Coast 12's, the sophisticated ladies of the lake! The EC12 is a one-design radio controlled yacht about 59 inches in length, has a mast standing 72 inches above the deck supporting about 1200 square inches of sail and weighing around 24.5 pounds,The class is quickly becoming the premier R/C Yacht. Energetic and active, the class holds over 20 two-day sailing events nationally, spread over an 11-month schedule. Local clubs offer additional weekly and monthly club events.

Originally a towing tank model for a Charlie Morgan twelve meter, the EC-12M can be transported in all but the smallest of cars, sailed in shallow waters, and in winds from mere zephyrs to light gales. The hull is shaped so as to shed dead leaves and other flotsam and jetsam, an important feature when sailing on inland lakes.
