USARS Adds CASH PURSE To The Inaugural Walt Disney Marathon!![]() LINCOLN, Neb. USA Roller Sports (USARS) is proud to announce their sanctioning of the Inaugural Walt Disney World Inline Marathon on Sunday, March 30 at 6:30 a.m. Approximately 2,000 skaters will participate in the event, near Orlando, Fl.
USARS will offer a cash purse and other awards for those who want a chance to increase their winnings. Registration for the USARS Cash Purse is $30.00. Skaters must first register for the Walt Disney World Inline Marathon before registering for the purse. Seventy-percent of the total registration fees will be returned to the winner in each division. Entry divisions are as follows: Junior (13-16 years old), World Class (13 years and older) and Masters (35 years old and older).
There are four race divisions in the Walt Disney World Inline Marathon. The Professional Division includes elite skaters who are USARS, USAIR or RWC certified. The Professional Masters Division is for elite skaters 35 years and older who are also certified through USARS, USAIR or RWC. The Advanced Division is for skaters with racing experience and capable of completing the marathon with a time under 1:30:26. For skaters who have not participated in a marathon or who skate recreationally, they will roll under the Fitness/Recreation Division.
The 26.2-mile race will start at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, where the course will parade skaters down Hollywood Boulevard in the Disney MGM Studios, roll through Disney's BoardWalk Resort and then though the eleven nations in the World Showcase Pavilion at Epcot before winding back to Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex to cross the finish line for a half marathon finish. Full marathoners will complete the loop a second time.
