Kiwanis Goes 'Nuts' on Halloween

The Kiwanis Club of Springtime City in Clearwater has a project that can provide local residents and businesses safe and healthy giveaways for Halloween while helping local community service projects at the same time.

The club's Peanut Fundraiser campaign offers bulk quantities of freshly roasted and lightly salted shelled peanuts in 3/4-ounce, tamper-proof foil packages. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the service projects such as the annual free Children's Health Fair, college scholarships, many programs for elementary, middle and high school students, as well as direct donations to children-related groups and causes that benefit children and youth.

The best deal is a case of 100 bags for a minimum donations of $30. The minimum order is 50 bags for $20. Businesses and households that have many Halloween visitors are urged to order more than one case and are reminded that the peanuts will stay fresh for four months.

Peanuts deliveries will be made to the purchaser's business or home or may be picked up by mid-October at Chi Chi's Golf Course on McMullen Booth Road.

Orders may be placed by mail with check payable to: Kiwanis Club of Springtime City, P.O. Box 6142, Clearwater, FL 33758 or call 727-446-6672. Order deadline is October 5. For additional information on this Kiwanis Club, please visit: www.kiwanis.org/club/springtimecity
