My name is Seth and you'll have to bear with me as I learn how to do all this. I've always wanted a site of my own and will attempt to provide something reasonably interesting to peruse. 4/27/06 Okay, an update. For those of you who don't know I have started teaching up here in NY. I'm still under the Kinney Karate name, in fact an exam isn't that far away. I have about 30 students from age 4-8. I can't tell you how nice it is to be teaching again. The job search is still unsuccessful so if any of you have contacts in NY don't hesitate to talk me up to them. :-)

10/10/05: Hello everyone who actually checks this site! I know its been awhile since I last wrote, but things up here have been very busy! That, and our internet connection at home has been out. Hopefully that gets fixed today (I'm writing this from work) and I'll be able to communicate more often. Thank you to all of you who write, your e-mails always brighten my day. It looks like we will be down for Thanksgiving so hopefully I'll get to see many of you then as well as those of you who are going to the Hall of Fame weekend. While we're down for Thanksgiving, I'd like to get together with my demo team for some creative work as well as try to get a party together. I look forward to seeing you all and keep checking back here, hopefully I'll be adding more content soon.

9/6/05: I write this sitting at my desk, using my new laptop for my brand new job in NY! So far so good although the layout of the city will eventually drive me crazy. I have yet to secure internet service from home, but as soon as I do regular updates will start (daily?) as well as the role-playing game for my players. If you are one such person, please shoot me an e-mail so that I have your address. I hope all goes well for my family in Florida. I miss you all. If you were a student of mine (I hate that past-tense) continue to work hard and listen to Liz. My heart hurts that I can not be there with you new black belts (I'm talking to YOU Nick and Sean) I'd love to be a part of your training starting over again. I hope you both feel comfortable enough to contact me at any time for any reason. Anyway, more coming soon!

8/3/05: Camp has come and gone and the day of my departure to NY moves ever closer. There's going to be some HUGE changes to the site including the completion of students bios as well as the creation of a page dedicated to current events at Gladden Park and Kinney Karate as a whole. This website is going to be my link to everyone so check often and reply anytime!

8/19/04: I am a horrible person. It's been way too long since I've worked on the site and I promise that will change. Camp has come on gone as has our class field trip to Shore Acres to surpise Dom. I'm going to put up a camp page on the Martial arts sister site and update news on coming events.

6/9/04: Well, I still haven't done the journal and in fact I've decided against putting a link up here for it even when I do. On a more exciting note, I was notified by the National Martial Arts Association that I've been nominated for "Martial Artist of the Year". The entry into the Black Belt Hall of Fame would be my 2nd and this category is a prestigous one. I've very honored and can't wait to find out more. I'll keep everyone informed as things develop.

4/23/04: Have you ever been so disappointed by something that you don't know how to handle it? Bah. Anyway, I've removed some of the old updates to get rid of the clutter. I'm also going to add a link to a personal journal I'm going to start. I think I need the forum to express my daily thoughts. The journal will NOT be suitable for children so if you're one of my students surfing the internet, make sure you ask before reading any of it.

3/30/04: So when does it get old that I keep promising new material and not delivering? Write me an e-mail and complain so I know that someone even looks at this site. Anyway, the Kinney Karate tournament on Saturday was a huge success and information on that will be up shortly.

2/4/04: Things for me really haven't slown down much, between teaching, working, guitar lessons, going to the gym and school I haven't had much free time at all. Although I'm in the best shape of my life. :-) Physically and emotionally draining has been my life of late but I promise to get SOMETHING done on here soon. I really want to work on my book and poetry to hopefully I'll find some time for that soon.
