Dear Members,

Sherry’s phone 610-2947 Congratulations to the PPPP Cookie Exchange and the Ellen Richards Holiday Luncheon on such a successful closing to 2009 programs.

We have had great turn outs for our meetings this year. You have gotten your reservations in early and that has been VERY much appreciated.

Our January meeting is at a lovely venue with. I know you will enjoy it, Feel free to ask guests. We are our own best publicity.

On March 21, we will be raising funds to support our Annual USF Scholarship. This is our only significant annual fund-raiser so please make a point of getting involved in the planning of this important event this year. Call Sherry for committee work assignments. Please also RSVP early and invite your friends and neighbors for a fun and rewarding event.

We will be electing new officers for 2010 for President, & Secretary,. Call one of our committee chairs if you are interested in any position or would like to nominate someone.(with their permission).

SCHOLARSHIP News!
I have been in touch with the College of Business at USF, sent them our scholarship forms from last year and they will get information out to interested students. I have given them a deadline of end of February, so things are in the works to choose a new winner Mary Alice Dodson will be receiving the forms directly.

Tampa Branch Fundraiser
Save Saturday, February 13, at 11AM for AAUW’s Luncheon at Sheraton Suites on West Cypress near Westshore. Newly redone, the Hernando room holds 100 people; let’s FILL it. This will be our Scholarship Fundraiser and should be great; so line up your friends now.

We are pleased to announce that our guest speaker will be Tampa’s first female Chief of Police, Jane Castor. We will be presenting her with our Rising to the Top Award. A flyer announcing this February luncheon will go out soon. We need workers before and during the event so please let Sherry know that you can help. (610-2947).

Come to Verna Gardener’s home on Streamside near the Veteran’s Movie Theaters to an addressing party Thursday, January 21 at 1:30 PM. Take some of our beautiful invitations to send to your friends or you can print them off of your email copy & send or email them. Isn’t electronics wonderful? If you absolutely CANNOT come,Send me names and addresses of friends and or community leaders you think should be invited in time for the addressing party. See you there???

There will be no January PPPP meeting.

All membership applications and renewals post September 1, 2009 will not meet Association and Yearbook deadlines and therefore will not be included in the 2009-10 directories.

Half-year dues for National are 50% from January 1 -March 15 for new members. Annual membership extends from July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010
