American Association of University Women.

President's Message

Dear Tampa branch members,

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!

What a pleasant meeting we had last month at the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club hosted by Liz Witters. Thank you for the hospitality Liz, and for sharing your podiatrist, Dr. Kristi Conway, with us Sherry. It was a pleasure seeing all of the faces I have grown accustomed to at our monthly meetings, and a gift to share lunch with other members and guests for the first time. I do hope many of you will join us for or final General Meeting at the Colonnade on May 17.

Congratulation also goes to Susie Donley, Director of Communications, for her election to our board for the 2008-10 membership years. I applaud and thank you for taking on a leadership role after your first year of membership. We are blessed to have you on our board, and grateful to Lee Schmoll for sharing you with us.

We are currently in need of several members to step up and volunteer to be “President-for-a-Month” while our branch transitions without a president elect for the 2008-10 membership years. Please indicate your interest by sending me an email or calling prior to June 14, 2008.

Our year is quickly coming to an end, and I would like to personally invite all of you to become involved in planning for next year by attending the Ellen Richards luncheon on May 23, the PPPP Planning Meeting on June 7, and the Old/New Board Meeting on June 21, from 10am-12pm at the Jan Platt Library.

Here’s to your Physical Health,
Stephanie
