Dear Members,

I am so pleased to report a very successful kick-off to our 2009-2010 Year. Thank you to Liz for arranging our first meeting at the Temple Terrace Country Club. Unfortunately, our speaker Jackie Grizzard had an accident the morning of the meeting and was unable to be present. We are very grateful to Jeanne Wolfe who gave an interesting program on current trends in Real Estate. We also enjoyed the presence of our 2 Scholarship winners, Melany Stubenberg and Allie Kirchofer. They told us a little about their work. We are so proud of them I hope to see all of you throughout the year as we enjoy our theme for the year, Getting Organized.. Please, make this the year that you become involved. You have so much to offer!

Huge thanks to Verna Gardener who has done a wonderful job on our new yearbooks, listing all our members. But we always have room for your friends. That’s how we get great new members, so talk us up!

SCHOLARSHIP FLASH!
We need a new Scholarship Chairperson for this year. We voted at the meeting that our money would be $2000, given to a Senior or Grad student in the College of business at USF. I am making contact with one of the advisors there.

All membership applications and renewals post September 1, 2009 will not meet Association and Yearbook deadlines and therefore will not be included in the 2009-10 directories.

Half-year dues for National are 50% from January 1 -March 15 for new members. Annual membership extends from July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010
