TR Kennel Club - Dade City Florida
The Travelers Rest Kennel Club (TRKC) was officially approved by the TR Board of Directors in 1999 with Doug Pedersen and Sandy Dinkledine as the first co-chairs. Since that time several other chairs have carried on that original vision to make the TRKC what it is today.The TRKC monitors and studies issues related to pets at TR and when asked, provide advice to TR Management/Compliance Officer and Board of Directors.
The first major project the TRKC undertook was Fund Raising and Construction of the Fenced in Pet Run (now known as the Puppy Park). This project was completed in the 2001/2002 season and built entirely by Volunteers. Immediately following the Pet Run installation, the TRKC installed the Pet Wash Spa which was completely funded by a very generous TR resident. This facility is maintained from the dues and volunteer efforts of members. Membership in the TRKC is open to all Travelers Rest Residents with payment of modest annual dues.
