Welcome to our "disorganization"

On Sunday, September 19, 2004 (coincidentally, National Friendship Day) a group of eight fabulous ladies took a step into hysteria, I mean, history and gathered at the Bahama Breeze on Altamonte Springs, FL to discuss the possibility of taking part in this phenomenon that is outbreaking all over the world called the Red Hat Society. So it is with great pleasure that I would like to inform you of the Hysterical Birth of our chapter –
Vintage Girls of Hysteric Longwood
.

A Message from the Queen...

Hello, ladies of silliness and gusto! And a Spring welcome to all of you!

April 25, 2007 will mark the 9th anniversary when 9 friends gathered wearing their red hats to celebrate friendship. Since then we have grown to over a million members and we have presence in over 25 countries all over the world!

I will like to thank each and everyone of you that have the right "hattitude" to respond to the call of that inner child to come forward and be part of such a great "disorganization"

Happy Birthday, Ruby!

Hats of to all of you, and especially to our Esteemed Queen Mother, Sue Ellen Cooper

Vintage Girls around town...

We started the year by having a Kickoff lunch at Steak and Ale in Altamonte Spring. The ladies were all decked out and ready to have a great time.
It was to our great pleasure to say that we had four new members join our chapter.
Bunny, Adis, Bette and Hazel, welcome to our disorganization!

Queen of the Day

Every month a new Queen is selected to be the Queen of the day. We choose someone to honor and learn about her character, hobbies and family.

This month's Queen of the Day is our newest member, Bunny Graham!
Bunny come to us thanks to our Countess of the Coffee Cup, Daphine. They have been friends since high school. Maybe we can bribe Bunny to tell us some secrets about our Countess!

Lady Belle Won!

Belle is part of our own Caroline D. (Lady Sunshine)’s royal family.

She was dressed in full regalia and took part in a parade. And the firs time she didn't win.

We just heard that Belle tried the outfit again just this past weekend at a local humaine society fund raiser. This time she won a prize for the most glamorous! Her prize was a basketful of goodies and made lot of people smile!

This Month's Queen

Lady Scrapper Farewell
It is with a heavy heart that we had to bid Bobbie farewell as she started a new journey in the town of Amarillo, TX.

To send her off properly some of us went to the Lakeridge Winery Arts and Craft Event in Clermont.

We are going to miss you, Lady Scrapper... farewell and good luck!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming...
Damn, What a ride!!

"Warning" - the Poem

"When I am an old women I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go,
and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension
on brandy and summer gloves...
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?"

This is an excerpt of the poem by Jenny Joseph that inspired the beginning of the Red Hat Society.

Our Mission Statement

To create a unique sisterhood as we all embrace the process of growing "wiser" together and to spread the word around that age is only a state of mind. We are here to support and encourage each other on this journey called "womenhood" hoping to have some good laughs and develop new friendships along the way.

Remember, unless you are cheese or wine...
age doesn't really matter!
