Staff Appreciation & Student Programs
Staff Appreciation Luncheons will be held throughout the year. Please bring food if you can help!!
This month we will be collecting cookies to give to our hardworking custodial staff and bus drivers. Please drop off or send cookies in a bag marked "PTO" by December 17th. Contact Shani Pinkerton (email@example.com) with any questions.
PTO Volunteers are needed every other month to cook and bake for our staff lunches. This is a very special treat that adult "stars" look forward to and a simple way to thank them on a regular basis for everything they do every day!
Please let us know if you are interested in helping!
The Santa Shoppe provides a nurturing environment for our children to learn the gift of giving. Each class will visit the shop during the week of December 9-13 in 2013. An envelope will be sent home to parents where they can put guidelines on how their child should shop. The child gets the gift of learning to budget the money, pick out the gifts, get the gifts wrapped by our elves, and the biggest blessing, giving the gifts. The smiles and excitement the children experience is outstanding. During a season where it often seems it is about what I'm getting, our kids at WNPS get to find out the joy of giving. The Santa Shoppe is a NON-PROFIT shop. This is not a fundraiser.
The Starbuck Program is run through the PBS department at the school. It rewards students for good behavior with a second color Starbuck added each month to focus on a specific behavior. The PTO helps with the distribution and implementation of the rewards for the students.
