Karen Wilson

Mrs. Wilson is the Coordinator of the STEPS Program and the liasion for 30th Avenue Preschool to Martin Luther King Elementary. Her responsibilities also include supervision of the STEPS teachers and parapros. Mrs. Wilson had the distinction of spear heading the development of the STEPS Program almost twenty years ago. When she's not busy taking care of the needs of parents and teachers, she and her husband volunteer much of their time to local charities.

Kathryn Hargrove

Mrs. Hargrove is not only one of the Preschool Psychologists with the STEPS Program, but she also serves as the building contact for 30th Avenue. Mrs. Hargrove's responsibilities include supervising many of the support staff within the building, as well as making sure that 30th Avenue runs smoothly with no two activities, meetings, or workshops being scheduled on top of each other. Professionally, Mrs. Hargrove enjoys working with behavioral challenges in the classroom, but when she's relaxing she likes to hike in the hills of Georgia with her husband and Golden Retriever.

Barbara Lewallen

Mrs. Lewallen also wears many hats at 30th Avenue Preschool, some of which include serving as the Preschool Psychologist partner and building assistant to Mrs. Hargrove. She also has been deemed the building's computer "expert" and will assist, as well, in putting on Band-Aids or taking temperatures when little ones are not feeling their best. Professionally, Mrs. Lewallen especially enjoys working with Autistic students, but when at home, she likes being with her family and learning tricks and tips of web designing, which has become one of her newest "hobbies".

Tammy Caldwell - Pre-K Resource Coordinator

Mrs. Caldwell is the Resource Coordinator (RC) for the Pre-K Program at 30th Avenue Preschool. Throughout the year, Mrs. Caldwell schedules fun and educational activities and workshops for our parents and heads up the volunteers from the Literacy Alliance that come to read to our students. Mrs. Caldwell is also an excellent resource to help connect parents with the community resources for various needs, such as medical care and even employment. Stop by and see Mrs. Caldwell if there's something she could help out with.

Carol Rose - Clerk

Ms. Carol Rose comes to 30th Avenue Preschool, as our full-time clerk, with a long history of working with the school district. Previously, Ms. Rose was a classroom paraprofessional with the STEPS Program and during that time, she worked with a variety of students and parents. She then fulfilled responsibilities of a paraprofessional with one of our Itinerant teachers and traveled to different community-based programs throughout Muscogee County.

We are pleased to welcome Ms. Rose to our 30th Avenue Preschool "family" and know you will enjoy getting to know her and working with her, as well.

Charles Streeter

Mr. Streeter serves as 30th Avenue Preschool's custodian. He has become very familiar with our building since he served 30th Avenue when it was still utilized as an elementary school. We are very appreciative of Mr. Streeter's hard work, which will quickly become evident when you come to visit our school.
