30th Avenue's Pre-K Program is part of the Geogia Lottery Pre-K Program managed through the Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL). This program is free to the public and is based on the High Scope curriculum.

Children who are 4, by September 1st, are eligable for the Pre-k program. Each classroom is made up of 20 children who are taught and guided thorugh child-directed activities by a teacher and paraprofessional.

Within Muscogee County, children can particpate in both the Pre-K and STEPS Programs, if it is found to be appropriate in meeting their educational needs.

Registration for the Pre-K program, for children turning 4, is held during the month of March. Placement is determined by a "lottery" drawing for the various classes throughout the district. Proof of age is required at the time of registration.

If you are interested in registering your child for Pre-K, you may contact the Pre-K Office at (706) 748-2118. 30th Avenue's Pre-K Resource Coordinator (RC), Tammy Caldwell, can be reached at (706) 683-8863 ex. 106. You can also register at any elementary school in your area with a Pre-K program. Check with the Pre-K Office for the location of a school near you.
