Mertile the Turtle
Mertile is the class pet in Ms. Harris'room. She came to 30th Avenue Preschool approximately six years ago and has grown from the size of a teacup saucer to close to the size of a dinner plate. Her favorite foods include flaked turtle food, blood worms, and feeder fish. Although she can be a little shy, Mertile is always very curious when someone new comes in the room and she loves watching the children as they listen to stories read by the classroom teachers and parapros.
