REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND THE PROM

REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND THE PROM

1.     Students must be a junior or senior at the beginning of the school year.

2.     A sophomore that attains junior status at the beginning of the 2nd semester may pay for a junior package and attend the prom.  However, be aware that the dues increase at the end of January and the student will be required to pay the late fee if they do not pay the dues in January.  If a sophomore chooses to pay their dues during the 1st semester and they do not attain junior status, a refund will still be issued according to the guidelines set forth under the section titled “Refunds.”

3.     Students attending must be at least 15 years old.

4.     Students must have all fines/dues/debts cleared.  This includes but is not limited to:  library materials, textbooks, clubs, senior class dues, ROTC uniforms, etc.

5.     Out of school suspensions that would include the date of the prom may prevent a student from being allowed to attend the prom.  A refund will not be issued in this case.

6.     Parents/guardians may be required to attend a mandatory meeting prior to prom.  The schedule for the meetings will be issued at a later time.

7.     Students must abide by the prom dress code and conduct guidelines set forth for the prom and by the policies of Kendrick High School and Muscogee County School District.

8.     Guests must bring a picture I.D.

9.     If a student brings a guest, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure the guest is informed concerning appropriate dress and conduct.

10. Guests are those people that are KHS freshmen, KHS sophomores (1st & 2nd semester), attend another school, or are out of school.

11. Failure to abide by all policies may result in not being able to enter the prom, being asked to leave the prom, or other consequences that are appropriate to the actions of the guest or student.
