News Wow! What a busy week ahead!
This week we will have the opportunity to participate in a safety program. This interactive, dramatic program will remind students of what they need to do to be safe. Tuesday is Veterans Day, and there is no school. Enjoy the day with your child discussing the freedoms we have as a country because of all the veterans who have served our nation. THANK YOU so much for all the canned food donations. We collected over 60 food items which will assist families in our community. Way to show you care! |

Reading
Over the next several weeks we will read about Squanto. We will follow the adventures of Squanto as he encounters explorers, residents of London, pilgrims, and members of other Native American tribes. Ask your child what Squanto discovers along the way.

This week we will continue studying solid figures. Our focus will be to determine what shapes are made from slicing various solid shapes.

Our science unit is to examine changes that occur on earth. The next few weeks we will investigate weather and seasons. Our focus word or theme is change. Encourage your child to observe their daily surroundings and how it is under constant change.
We are currently working on our Weather Menu Activity. You may want to ask your child what they have choosen for their entree and sides! :)

This week we will continue to review MCSD behavior policy through the use of the MCSD Behavior Policy Coloring Book. Please review school rules found in the Hannan calendar with your child over this week.
