| Atlanta N.E. Chapter
Begun in 2003, we are one of over 400 chapters in the national Project Linus organization. We generally cover areas north and northeast of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Donated blankets are given to children in hospitals and shelters in the area. REQUIREMENTS Blanket types - we welcome all styles of blankets provided they are machine-washable (no wool), new, and handmade or hand-finished. They can be quilts, tied comforters, fleece blankets, or crocheted/knitted afghans. Blanket sizes should generally be a minimum of 30” by 36" for babies, up to 45" x 72" or so for teens and of course, anything in between. We can also use preemie sized crocheted or knitted blankets, 18" X 24". DONATING BLANKETS When you have blankets ready to donate, you can drop them off at the Stitch 'N Quilt Shoppe at 2070 Sugarloaf Parkway, which has generously offered to be a drop-off point for us. Or, you can use the e-mail box below to contact me and we'll arrange the best way for you to get them to me.
