Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students,

The number one priority for parents is their children's well-being. More than 30 years' worth of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and at school. Grades and test scores climb. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve.

There's a simple way for you to help your child succeed: Join Mays High School PTSA.

PTA helps parent, student, school staff, and communities work together to share ideas about programs and activities that benefit children. Our PTSA provides information and resources that strengthen the connections between children, parents, schools, and the community.

In the past year, Mays High School PTSA have:

  • Fostered relationship with Parent Center to increase communication to parents
  • Increased communications through email, and voice mail to PTSA
  • Funded perfect attendance essay
  • Assisted in coordination of 8th grade transition night
  • Funded and participated in teacher appreciation week
  • Sponsored "Meet and Greet Spaghetti Dinner
  • Attended leadership training to increase PTSA officers knowledge

Just imagine what we could do with your additional $10 membership contribution.

PTA is America's number one parent involvement resource. By becoming a member, you will not only help your child in one of the most important ways possible but also receive valuable benefits:

  • Parenting resources, including online access to select articles from Our Children magazine
  • E-newsletters on parenting and legislative issues
  • Exclusive discounts and offers from corporate sponsors and member benefits providers on such items as insurance, copying and printing, and backing
  • Leadership training opportunities
  • The member-to-member network, connecting you to Congress when help is needed on issues important to children, schools, and families

Please join by filling out the membership form and returning it today to the school office or PTSA membership table at scheduled events with your $10.

Please visit the PTA national website, www.pta.org, and the Georgia PTA website, www.georgiapta.org to sample the benefits you'll reap when you join PTSA.

    Sincerely,

    Sherry Trammell
